The Cardington Cracker – It’s an institution. Over 200 turn out on a cold December day to pay homage to this annual fell race as part of the traditional runners build up to Christmas. It’s 9 miles of hell but well
worth it for the carrot soup followed by a few pints of Shropshire Lad in the Royal Oak.

Hail Hailey - Champion V50

Well done to Rick Hailey who took part in the BMAF 10K Road Race Championships Strathclyde Park,
Motherwell. Rick finished first V50 in a time of 33'54" which makes him the official BMAF V50 UK 10K champion. Also worth
mentioning that he was 10th overall!!!

Midland Six Stage - A lovely day out!

Telford Harriers, Telford AC and Shrewsbury AC
send some of their best to the Sutton Park running pilgrimage. TAC
mens A team finished in bronze position with SAC doing well to
finish in the top 25 after many years absence from this event. This
earns them a place in the nationals in a few weeks time.

Dave Green didn't have enough money to pay his bookies bill on a recent visit to Uttoxeter races so he was
forced to take part in one of the races to try win back some cash (should have got the wife to run Dave!).

Silver medal at National Relays - TAC Veteran mens team made their team manager,
John Hassall, very proud as they raced home in second place.Tony Power
ran well under pressure in the nail biting final leg to
guarantee silver medal position for the team.

Rimmer Flying At The Flyer 18-May-05
Chris Rimmer romped home half a minute in front of Paul Ward to win this years Phoenix Flyer with Chris Bagshaw taking 3rd place.
Conditions were dry and the 5K grass course teased some fast times from the 190+ Shropshire runners. No surprises in the ladies race
with Claire Martin 1st, Kim Green 2nd and Cheralyn Evans 3rd.

Louise Enjoys The Going Down 11-May-05
Louise Taylor, Telford Harriers, was very happy with her time of 27:59 in the 2005 Cradaoc Classic Fell race.
Not only did she win the ladies race but also clocked the third ever fastest time for a female. In
a post race interview with Paul Sanderson, Louise admitted that her secret was going down.

The 10th Robin Hood Marathon turned into a rain hood marathon in bitter cold
undergrey skies.Overall winner for the second year in succession was
Steve Needs, of Leicester, who finished in 2hr 24min 53sec, beating last years
time in 'perfect' conditions.

2005 Summer Handicap 11-Apr-05
Telford Harriers’ Handicap races are run over a 3090m, 2-lap course in
Telford Town Park. Runners from all clubs are welcome to come along and give it a go.
A great way to see how you improve over the Summer.
The aim is to give all competitors an equal chance of winning the race.
