Nellies fears were unfounded as she ran a brilliant race finishing
4th overall and first scorer for South Wales in a time of 22’03”
The 5K ladies course was flat and through sheep fields. Some of
the local runners were forced to fit long spikes in their wellies!
Mid way through the race Nellie passes Steve Brace who had run earlier in the mens masters.
As the race came to a close Nellie moved from 8th to 4th and battled hard to maintain her position.
Pain pain and more pain...
Total relief at the finish and narrowly missing out on a championship medal.
