Have you ever wondered why Andy Williams the famous crooner and Doug Morris the famous runner have never been seen in the same place at the same time?

Well we can now reveal that Doug Morris is Andy Williams!

The story was unravelled at Colwyn Bay in the first of the this seasons North Wales cross country fixtures. As Doug is one of the few runners in the over 70 age category, he was lucky enough to set off with the ladies. As a group of girls overtook Doug on the hill our roving reporter happened to hear him start singing the unmistakable mellow tones of the famous tune "The boys watch the girls while the girls watch the boys who watch the girls go by".

Our roving reporter tried to speak Andy (AKA Doug) at the end of the race but he was unavailable for comment as he was rushing to London to star in Saturday night Swing on BBC1.

Well done Doug! One of the nicest people in the sport...
